Chief/Cortana friendship...about 1.5k or so words (I haven't finished it yet)...you don't *have* to know First Stike (though, it would give you a little bit of background)...just looking for someone to point out obvious grammar mistakes and point out when I use the same word over and over (which I have a tendency to do, LOL)

Author's Notes: Yeah, I'm back for some more "The Fall of Reach" fun. Takes place right before the Epilogue. It my take on how the MC went from "Better to die than without his teammates" to the snarky "No thanks to your driving, yes". Thanks to all who reviewed the first story.
