Wishing I could draw. Again.

So Bungie's been doing their weekly Fanart challenge and everytime they post the recap, I end up thinking one thing...."WHY CAN'T I DRAW?" I've tried..., but dude, no. To have to ability to actually draw something from the recesses of my mind? I want. So bad.

The highlight of the week...because this is the drawing that matches my image of John the most. And it's funny. LOL (I understand why the guy won the best of the week, but, dude, no...the face is not John. Well, in my mind anyway. LOL)

An update

So, after Babe tried, it was determined that Lappy is dead! :( He ordered a new recovery disc and is going to buy a new hard drive and see if he can repair it (we'd replace Dino with it if it works). But, because ~~I am spoiled~~ he found a great deal at work, I gots me a new computer.

I'm still mourning the loss of my other computer (we bonded over too many words of fic), but I have high hopes for this one (after I get use to Windows 7). So today is going to spent doing the epically annoying task of transferring the saved files, downloading everything from iTunes to GIMP, finding a pretty desktop background, and trying to scramble around and remember all my saved passwords, etc.

(And let's not even start on how this computer doesn't have a word processing program so I have to use Open Office and none of my Works files are converting over. Thank goodness that Dino has Works and I'll covert them to word docs.)

Let's just say that today is one of those days I wish I drank coffee. :P :P

ETA: I'm already on my way to geekifying my laptop. It's all about Halo, baby!

ETA2: And now I realize that I've lost all my fonts. Dude.

Feedback...

So, really, what do you do with it?

Keep it? Print it out and make wallpaper for your room? Delete it? Have a word processing file with all your feedback it in? Do nothing with it and just go visit your fic with the comments anytime you need an ego boost?

As you know, I'm migrating off my yahoo email addie to hotmail and I'm trying to figure out what to do with my feedback. (Forwarding over 2300 emails is *not* how I want to spend the next month, but I don't want to lose them because feedback is love.)

Dear ff.net writers,

Please use proper punctuation and grammar when writing your summary. Please don't tell me how much your summary sucks, but your story is good (because I won't believe you). Please don't use internet slang (i.e. sux, thx, pls) in your summary (I get enough of that on Twitter). And really, it wouldn't hurt to reread your summary to make sure there are no spelling mistakes because, well, it kind of makes you look like a chump.
